A licensed massage therapist's Wix Studio site that Google was never allowed to read, rebuilt as a static Next.js site: 79% less homepage weight on mobile, 62% faster paint, SEO 61 to 100. Every page served meta robots noindex, the sitemap returned 404, and a site: search returned nothing. No page carried an h1, a meta description, a price or a set of opening hours. The served HTML of every page still advertised a fitness template's leftover copy at zero by zero pixels, invisible on screen and fully readable by crawlers. The rebuild publishes the eight services with their prices, both studios' hours, a page for each city, and redirects every old Wix slug to the page that replaced it. Live on renewedbodyworks.com since September 2026.

Measured, Not Estimated
Lighthouse 13.4.1, three runs per page per form factor, interleaved between the old site and the rebuild on the same machine on the same afternoon. Every figure here is the median of its three runs.
Hidden By One Toggle
Every page served meta robots noindex and the sitemap returned 404, so the whole site was invisible to search. Nine URLs now ship in a sitemap that Google is allowed to read.
The Trainer Who Never Worked There
Leftover template markup named a certified fitness trainer, offered a class booking and advertised a promo code, on every page, at zero by zero pixels. No visitor could see it. Every crawler could read it.
Prices Nobody Could Find
Eight services and their prices lived only on MassageBook, and opening hours lived nowhere at all. Both are on the site now, and in the structured data.
Rankings Carried, Not Dumped
The five Wix slugs, /home-1, /home-1-1, /home-1-2, /blank and the orphaned /fullscreen-page, each redirect to the page that absorbed them rather than into the homepage.
159 Requests Removed
The homepage went from 187 network requests to 28. Wix Bookings, Checkout, Members and two retired form apps were loading on every page while booking actually ran on MassageBook.
−79%homepage weight on mobile, 9,813 KiB to 2,029 KiB
−62%homepage largest contentful paint on mobile, 8.48s to 3.19s
61 → 100Lighthouse SEO, every page, both form factors
0 → 9pages Google is allowed to index, and pages in a sitemap

Across three pages, two form factors and twelve measured metrics, every figure moved the right way or stayed level. Six Wix pages became nine indexable routes, and the four Lighthouse categories were re-run on both sites the same afternoon so the before column is a measurement rather than a memory.

The Wix Studio site on the left, the rebuild on the right. Every desktop pair is captured at the same 1440 × 1290 viewport by the same script on the same afternoon, and the phone pair at 390 px. 1440 rather than the 1150 the other studies use, because the old header wraps to three rows below roughly 1200 px: a narrower frame would have flattered the rebuild.
